Net weight: 450 g Mov-Ease for Joint Support

Mov-Ease is an equine supplement made from a proprietary blend of plant bioflavonoids. It’s composed of Chinese herbs with anti-inflammatory effects. This herbal blend can be helpful for horses that suffer from stiffness and supports comfort during movement.

Mov-Ease is rich in antioxidants, compounds found in plants that neutralise or 'mop up' free radicals (uncharged molecules) that can harm cells from oxidation (oxidative stress). An excess of free radicals can damage healthy cells which may lead to a compromised immune system, illness, or nervous system issues.

Plant bioflavonoids in Mov-Ease have demonstrated anti-fibrotic properties, support liver function and combat inflammatory processes including some allergies and respiratory issues. Fibrosis is the formation of excess fibrous connective tissue in an organ or tissue in an inflammatory process.

There are no fillers, no additives or artificial ingredients. It’s entirely a plant bioflavonoid product developed by My Best Horse in the USA. http://mybesthorse.com/

Recommended feeding rate

Loading: 3 grams twice per day for a minimum of 10 days.
Maintenance: 3 grams daily.

Can be mixed with a small amount of feed. Some horses that have extensive issues may benefit from remaining at the loading dose level. Can be fed with minerals and feeds.

3 grams is about 1½ teaspoons, but this of course depends on how densely packed, best to weigh.

Feeding instructions

For best results, feed in a small sized feed, no more than around 1 kg of feed.

Bioflavonoids have been well-studied for years. The mechanism of action of the class of supplements that are bioflavonoids are well documented. More information on the action of bioflavonoids:

Mov-Ease can be fed with Jiaogulan, Ginseng, Chondroitin sulfate, Hyaluronic acid, Glucosamine and the amino acids AAKG, ALCar.

Warning: Mov-Ease works synergistically with NSAIDs like Bute so use caution.

Some feedback:

Jack on Mov-EaseThank you Pauline for sending this great feedback:

"Thought I'd drop you a line to let you know how impressed I was with the Mov-Ease. I had 2 elderly horses that both had PPID (Cushing's ) and were Insulin Resistant. They were also displaying signs of arthritis and tended to get a bit stiffer with the colder weather and not as willing to move. Due to their metabolic condition I felt my choices were limited with suitable products until I came across Mov-Ease. Wow! What a difference it made. Within a few weeks both my boys showed an obvious improvement in their comfort level and range of motion and remained so until their recent passing. Just wish I had found this product earlier."

Catte on Mov-Ease

"Hi Carol

My 23 year old ex racehorse mare Catte has been on Mov-Ease for 3 months now. I've noticed a difference in her also especially lifting her back legs up for cleaning out her hooves, straight up and not as stiff. She is moving more freely too. Awesome stuff, thank you so much. Catte is the mare who is vulnerable to laminitis, now has a 7 month old foal :) I fed her your Laminitis Rescue mix and her coat has dapples and shiny, just beautiful. She seems happier too."

"Hi Carol

Will is definitely better with the Mov-Ease, he finds it much easier to stand on 3 legs when having his feet trimmed. He has really bad arthritis, so I can only hope to keep life bearable for him but he is much happier with the Mov-Ease. Other things I have tried have seemed to work slightly for a while, then all his symptoms have returned, but with Mov-Ease he just seems to continue to improve. Thanks very much."

"Hi Carol

I've just put another order through for some Mov-Ease for Sambo. We are really noticing the difference in him using it now it's been a few months. Particularly the farrier she's really noticed how much easier it is for him to lift his leg for her :) Exactly what you said it would do, it's done for him :):)" Marie then added "You can even give them my email address if they want to talk to me personally. It really could be helping many more horses :)" Thank you Marie!

"Hi Carol

Alfie (now 36 years) has a very arthritic stifle joint, and Mov-Ease is the only thing that is
effective.  I have since started Gita (my fat little (I think) Insulin Resistant mare) on it for a stiff neck that is recurring, and also I think it helps with IR."

Jill Ogilvie, NSW

The Equine Cushings and Insulin Resistance Group www.ecirhorse.org and Dr Eleanor Kellon VMD recommend it as safe for insulin resistant (IR)/elevated insulin horses.

What to expect

Typical results

Because there are so many different levels of stiffness, it is difficult to predict how your horse will respond to this nutritional supplement that supports healthy movement. Below are two categories that include most horses.

Horses with fewer problems

After adding the Mov-Ease twice a day, around day 4 or day 5, it looks like your horse is doing a bit better. But you question if it’s the Mov-Ease, because it may just be that your horse is having a good day. Around day 10, it’s apparent that your horse is doing better. You see more movement and a brighter attitude.

Horses with more issues

After adding the Mov-Ease, it looks like your horse is more comfortable, but there really isn’t much additional movement. After a month, your hoof care practitioner comes to trim your horse’s hooves and your horse is able to have its leg held up longer and it’s easier. When the trimmer comes the next time, it’s even easier on the horse and on the trimmer. The improvement is so gradual that you hardly notice it. Because the hoof care practitioner doesn’t see your horse every day, it’s more evident to them.

Cautions

Although there have been no reported allergic reactions to date, if your horse appears to be having an allergic reaction, stop using the Mov-Ease and investigate if the reaction is to the supplement or to another allergen to which your horse has been exposed. Please report back any negative effects that you may encounter. If your horse is having any other additional problems or appears to be getting worse with the Mov-Ease, stop the use of this supplement.

The most notable side effect is that after a couple of weeks on the supplement, that the horse feels so good that he/she over does it and injures themselves. Please use caution.

Mov-Ease is not recommended for use in pregnant mares, as its safety during pregnancy has not been established. It is not recommended to administer to foals, as its safety in foals has not been established.
